Synopsis
Discover the exceptional artistry of Justin de Leon, a Filipino classical pianist, composer, and improviser currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree in piano pedagogy at the renowned Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, under the guidance of Georg Steinschaden.

Mentored by prestigious figures such as Mauricia Borromeo and Ena Aldecoa, Justin completed his Diploma in Creative and Performing Musical Arts – Piano (DCPMA) at the University of the Philippines College of Music in 2020. His remarkable talent was recognized early on when he won the First Prize – Don Pio Sian Melliza Prize at the 2017 Piano Competition Leonor Kilayko, leading to performances at iconic venues like Paco Park, Luneta Open Air Auditorium, and the Cultural Center of the Philippines.

In addition to his musical achievements, Justin is an active member of the Philippine Center for Gifted Education and participates in events organized by the Piano Teacher’s Guild of the Philippines (PTGP). He has taken masterclasses with internationally acclaimed pianists, including Rolf-Dieter Arens, Evgenia Rubinova, and Aima Labra-Makk, and has received praise from concert pianists like Jerzy Maciejewski and Leonor Kilayko.

A versatile improviser and composer, Justin continues to shine as a sought-after collaborative artist. His engagements include solo concerts, performances with the Weltkirche Salzburg, and collaborations with fellow students at the Mozarteum University.
