
Justin De Leon Takes the Stage for a December Piano Spectacle

Makati City, Philippines – Pianist Justin de Leon is set to captivate Manila audiences with his exceptional artistry in a highly anticipated solo piano concert. The event will take place on December 21, 2024, at the Manila Pianos Showroom, Makati City, at 6:00 PM.
A Filipino classical pianist, composer, and improviser, De Leon is currently studying at the prestigious Mozarteum University in Salzburg, Austria, where he is finishing his bachelor’s degree in piano pedagogy.
De Leon’s journey into the world of classical music has been one marked by dedication, mentorship, and competition success. He completed his Diploma in Creative and Performing Musical Arts – Piano (DCPMA) under the mentorship of renowned figures such as Mauricia Borromeo, the acclaimed Filipina pianist and former Dean of the University of the Philippines College of Music, and Ena Aldecoa, a classical pianist and soprano. His musical journey includes significant achievements, such as winning the First Prize – Don Pio Sian Melliza Prize at the 2017 Piano Competition Leonor Kilayko, which led to performances at prominent venues such as the Cultural Center of the Philippines, Paco Park, and the Luneta Open Air Auditorium.
He continues to hone his craft under the guidance of Georg Steinschaden. His global experiences have helped refine his musical skills, and he has taken masterclasses with several notable pianists and pedagogues, including Jerzy Maciejewski and Dr. Milan Franek.
The December 21 concert at Manila Pianos Showroom promises to be a memorable evening of exquisite music. Justin de Leon will showcase his versatility as a pianist, performing a program of works by Bach, Mozart, Liszt, and Chopin.
