Synopsis
Acclaimed as one of today’s most promising young Filipino pianists, Jet Stephen Chong returns to the stage with a compelling program featuring Beethoven, Brahms, and Ravel.

A seasoned performer, Jet has earned top accolades in prestigious competitions, including the National Music Competition for Young Artists. He made his orchestral debut at just 15 with the Manila Symphony Orchestra and later performed with the ABS-CBN Philharmonic Orchestra. His international career has taken him to major venues in Singapore, the United States, and most recently, the Dame Myra Hess Concert Series in Chicago.

Beyond his solo work, Jet is a passionate advocate for music education and collaboration, frequently engaging in benefit concerts, music camps, and chamber performances. A recipient of full scholarships throughout his studies, he trained at the Philippine High School for the Arts, Chiang Kai Shek College, and Singapore’s Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music. Currently, he is pursuing his master’s degree at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, where he teaches as an Associate Instructor in the Secondary Piano Program and serves as a Teaching Artist with the Jacobs Virtual Academy. His mentors include Mary Evans Villalon, Anthony Say, Albert Tiu, and Spencer Myer.
