Acclaimed Pianist Jonathan Biss to Perform at Ayala Museum This December

Manila, Philippines — Renowned American pianist Jonathan Biss is set to grace the stage at the Ayala Museum on December 9, 2024, at 7:00 PM, promising an evening of exceptional music-making.
Biss, known for his deep insight and masterful technique, has been celebrated by The Boston Globe as “a superb pianist and also an eloquent and insightful music writer,” and by The New Yorker for his “impeccable taste and formidable technique.”
Throughout his career, Biss has performed with prestigious orchestras worldwide, including the Los Angeles and New York Philharmonics, the Boston, Chicago, and San Francisco Symphonies, as well as the Cleveland and Philadelphia Orchestras. Biss is also Co-Artistic Director of the Marlboro Music Festival alongside Mitsuko Uchida.
Adding to his achievements, Biss is the youngest American pianist to record the complete Beethoven Piano Sonatas, a feat Gramophone magazine has praised for his understanding of Beethoven's wit and depth. He has earned praise from The Chicago Tribune as “one of today’s foremost Beethoven exponents.”

- Schubert: Impromptu in B-flat major, D. 935 No. 3
- Alvin Singleton: Bed-Stuy Sonata (Philippine Premiere)
- Schubert: Piano Sonata in A Major, D. 959
